This is the easiest and most delicious recipe I have ever tried. I have been making this for a long time and sometimes I hide bananas on purpose as they make the most flavorful bread when they’re all spotty and brown.

You will need:
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs, room temperature
2 medium ripe bananas, mashed (1 cup)
1/2 cup canola oil
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts
In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugars, baking soda and salt.
In another bowl, combine the eggs, bananas, oil, buttermilk and vanilla; add to flour mixture, stirring just until combined.
Fold in chocolate chips and/or nuts.
Pour into a greased 9×5-in. loaf pan (here I used my new honeycomb pan from Nordicware).
Bake at 325° for 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool on wire rack.
