- Start up a photography business
Most new moms take an interest in photography when they bring home their little one from the hospital. Because lets face it, we start taking a million pictures of our kids and figured if others can do it so can I.
Start up cost is relatively low. You need to build up your portfolio which you can do with your own children, friends and/or family. No one is going to turn down a free photo shoot.
- Sell Stuff
You can sell items on Esty, Ebay, Craigslist, Facebook garage sale sights. And don’t forget garage sales! These are all great platforms to sell gently used items and craft items that you make.
When we brought home our oldest I was on maternity leave from working in retail. Once my time was up I went back for a month or two and my husband and I quickly learned that having me home was a better fit for our family. To bring in some extra income I started babysitting in my home two kiddos who were close in age to Brianna. I did this for almost 7 years and it worked great until recently as our family became more busy.
- Start a House Cleaning Business
You may be surprised with how many working parents needs someone to come in and clean once or every other week. When you have two working adults, paying someone to come clean can take a huge load of their shoulders. You can also stop by local churches and see if they need someone to come in every week to clean. Often times, the home owners will not have a problem if you have small ones tag along with you while you clean. Perfect for moms with littles!
