The warm weather has now died down and I can feel to cool crisp air when I let the dog out in the morning. Fall is here.
I absolutely love fall. I love the decorations and all the fun activities that go on during fall. If you are looking for fun free or cheap ideas on things to do here is my top 4.
- Visit the Pumpkin patch/Apple Orchards – This is by far one of our favorite things to do. Usually for $20 or less we will pick out pumpkins and some apple cider. I like to use the pumpkins for decorations until the week of Halloween when we carve them.
- Attend Local Festivals – Festivals or normally free to get in. So what you spend depends on you. We like to go to people watch and look at all the booths. The kids enjoy it.
- Take a walk or hike – Go out side and enjoy the scenery! Find a park or walking trail and let the kids ride their bikes or scooters. Before you know it the weather will turn too cold to enjoy the outside.
- Rake the leaves and jump! – This couldn’t be more simple and yet one of the things kids love to do! we will spend hours raking leaves and the kids will have a blast jumping in them. I laugh because we have 1 tree on our property and every year our yard is filled and I mean filled with leaves.
I encourage you to get out there and enjoy the outdoors and all the beautiful fall colors before winter comes. Do you have any easy on the wallet, fall traditions or outings that your family enjoys each year? I would love to hear about them!
